Raised Trigger Compression Latches

Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products manufactures compression latches to fit a range of industrial OEM applications. A compression latch holds a door, panel or cover shut, and at the same time compresses a gasket around the inside of the door to seal out moisture, dirt and dust. For electronic enclosures, the degree of compression required is specified by its NEMA or IP rating.

SPEP Raised Compression Latches

Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products makes the highest quality industrial hardware for OEM manufacturers. We carry a wide range of low-profile recessed trigger latches for use in electronic enclosures, HVAC systems, trucks/trailers, spray booths, marine, and many other applications.

These compression type latches are commonly used for enclosures, due to their simple design and function. These raised trigger versions of the trigger latches remain relatively flush with the surface of the enclosure, save for an elevated button (or trigger) used to activate the latch.

When the trigger of the latch is pushed, it releases the pawl that engages the keeper. As the pawl drops down, it allows the door to be opened. At the same time, the lever moves upward, becoming a handle used to pull open the door.

Sierra Pacific's experienced engineers have designed our trigger latches with a full range of options to best fit your application. Our trigger latches can be bought with two different mounting kits—one for metal and the other for wood, each using a single mounting screw.

Choose a short-arm flush lever latch for grip ranges adjustable from 0.04 to 0.95 inches. Or, order a long-arm latch for grip ranges between 0.91 to 1.81 inches.

Our trigger latches come either with or without an integrated lock. The locks can be made for identical keys, or for one of ten different key codes.

We make our raised trigger latches in four finishes, in order to complement any product design: gray, matte black, polished chrome or textured chrome.

The quality of our products is the most important thing to us here at SPEP. This can be seen in our designs and the manufacture of our products, as well as our ISO 9001 certification, earned in 2001.

As a 100% ESOP company, we stand behind our products, and every employee is committed to complete customer satisfaction. Contact us today for more information about our raised trigger latches and other heavy duty industrial hardware.
