Spring Hinges

Spring hinges are self-closing hinges that use a spring mechanism within the barrel to return the hinge to a standard position. At SPEP, we conveniently offer two available designs for our spring hinges. The spring loaded butt hinge is similar to our standard hinge, but the spring located within the stainless steel hinge always returns it to the same position. This is a convenient option that can keep a door out of your way after opening, or if you need to a door to close itself.

Our other available design includes spring loaded pins which can be retracted to remove the hinge from it's matching half, which is handy if you need the ability to quickly and conveniently remove a door — for moving in or out large furniture, for instance — without the hassle of removing fasteners. SPEP offers each of these designs in multiple sizes and can be made from both steel and stainless steel, allowing you to find just the right spring hinge to meet your need. Stainless steel spring hinges work well in environments where steel could potentially rust and lead to degradation of the hinge.
